About Us

Occhiali Servizio, or OS Optical, is a full surfacing and fitting laboratory which has been servicing the optical industry for many years.

Our two members, Nico and Lynne Scali, are both qualified in fitting and surfacing. Nico runs the laboratory, and Lynne is responsible for the administration and customer care. We pride ourselves on our hands-on management.

Situated in Eastleigh, Edenvale, we service all areas in South Africa, either with our own drivers or various courier services.

At our laboratory, we firmly believe in doing full apprenticeships. Our qualified technicians have over 150 years of experience in optics between them. We believe that the key to success is to constantly train and improve the knowledge of our staff.

“Correct Proper Optics” is our passion. Our mission is to provide a superior standard of work and an efficient, friendly personalised service to the optical market. Our aim is to provide knowledge and expertise in both standard optical lenses, as well as technology and products that are not available in South Africa at present.

Every order gets the same precise attention, whether it be a high-end multifocal or a budget single vision lens.
