Night Drive lenses contain a medical filter, that is added during the casting of the material, which helps reduce the glare associated with driving at night. Tokai have developed this filter to maintain the brightness associated with headlights, traffic lights and car lights, while reducing their glare.

Night Drive thus has its own specific material and is available in 1.60, 1.60 Aspheric and 1.60 PPL designs.
