There is "melanopsin-expressing retinal ganglion cell" in the retina that adjusts the circadian clock. This cell has a special photo-sensory pigment called melanopsin. This pigment sends an electrical signal to the suprachiasmatic nucleus in the brain. The centre of the circadian clock reacts to sunlight (especially blue light around 480 nm), restraining the creation of melatonin, which known as a sleep hormone. In response to sunlight and other light, telling your circadian clock that it is morning, after being exposed to enough amount of sunlight. In opposition, we can prepare for sleeping by restraining the "melanopsin-expressing retinal ganglion cell" and creating melatonin by cutting the blue light around 480 nm. Once the rhythm of the circadian clock goes wrong, it can not only cause a sleeping disorder, but also mood disorder.In conclusion, the NTC coating can be expected to support deeper sleep by helping your brain create melatonin and adjusting your circadian clock by cutting blue light around 480 nm, to which we tend to be frequently exposed to.

NTC coating helps the creation of melatonin

The creation of the sleep hormone "melatonin" is known to be restrained by the melanopsin stimulated by blue light.
